About Mindfulness Lab
Mindfulness Lab is a new mindfulness studio in Ramsbottom. Your mindfulness instructor is Ana, who is also a qualified psychotherapist and mindfulness and meditation adept. Ana is teaching regular classes in Mindfulness Lab. Occasionally, we will be organise mindfulness-related workshops.
The Science of Mindfulness
You can think of Mindfulness as the Eastern meditative practice meeting the Western science - taking the best of both worlds. The way I teach mindfulness in Mindfulness Lab, the practice has no religious connotation but takes all the good and evidence-based ingredients of meditation to create a hopefully powerful and exciting mix of practices to enrich your life and help you find your inner peace. We will practice evidence-based methods and I will always teach some of the science behind them in our classes. Over the last 40 years, there has been an accumulation of a solid body of evidence showing the positive effects of mindfulness on our COGNITIVE CAPACITY (thinking and affect regulation) and a range of HEALTH BENEFITS (stress reduction, better sleep, immune function).
